Just as every candidate is not
a perfect fit for every company, so different firms prefer different
arrangements in conducting an executive search. Youngblood Associates
offers three different types of searches, each with its own advantages.
In all cases, the fee is 30% of the projected first year's compensation.
This is a full-time effort, providing the recruiter with the greatest
incentive to work on the project in a speedy manner, also with more
appeal to the candidates. One-third of the fee is paid up front, one-third
more is paid in 30 days, and the final third at 90 days.
This provides the recruiter with an incentive by payment of one-third
of the fee up front and the balance upon hiring of the candidate. This
approach gives the firm a priority effort and no additional payment
until the right candidate is hired. In addition the presentation has
the appeal to the candidate of being a retained search.
The fee is paid at the end of the search, but the project does not have
the benefit of having a full-time commitment or the incentives of a
retained search.
